On the Issues
Maryland is in the worst economic crisis it has experienced since the 1930s. A community ravaged already affected by widespread poverty, the affect of crisis upon the 44th District and Baltimore City in general has been devastating. People are losing jobs, families are losing their homes, and small businesses are folding seemingly overnight. While politicians in Annapolis have made band-aid fixes for these problems, the economic crisis continues to ravage the 44th District. As Delegate, I will promote common-sense ideas to help turn our economy around. My ideas are formed around three core principles:
- Creating and sustaining job growth
- Encouraging small business development
- Decreasing our tax burden
Bettering Our Schools
There is nothing that we as citizens can do to ensure a sustainable economic future than focus on bettering our schools. As delegate, I will make the continued reform of our school systems one of my top priorities by simply advocating for what has worked for other jurisdictions such as New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C.
